Founded in 1830, the University of North Alabama (UNA) is the state’s oldest four-year public university and one of the oldest universities in the United Students. UNA offers a variety of academic programs that are very popular with international students which included AACSB accredited BBA and MBA, ABET accredited Chemistry/Industrial Hygiene and Computer Science programs, 7 STEM programs, and large choices of Fine Arts and Liberal Arts programs. The Office of Sponsored Programs, in conjunction with the Office of Academic Affairs, and the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Education and Human Sciences, and Nursing has established ‘The University of North Alabama Undergraduate Research Program’ (URP). URP is designed to encourage and support student-initiated research efforts and production projects that are focused in their field of study.
