What personal data we collect and why we collect it
The following contact forms are available for use by visitors to the site. In order to communicate with Study Alabama officers and members these forms have been created solely for the purpose of facilitating communications.

By completing the forms the visitors to the site agree to share only such information as they provide for the purpose of corresponding with Study Alabama. Data received as part of the message form process will only be shared with the leadership of Study Alabama and any specific member institution(s) appropriate to the information provided in the message. No identification data received will be collected, stored or shared with any other organization, agency or business other than as previously outlined.
If you have an account with Study Alabama and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Who we share your data with
All data that may be shared is summary in nature. We share our data summaries with the Study Alabama Governing board and as part of our annual reporting to the membership.
In addition to using Google Analytics for web traffic analysis (see above), Study Alabama uses the web hosting services of Word Press and we abide by all Word Press privacy policies as applicable to the Study Alabama website. Furthermore Study Alabama uses the services of Second Melody for web site design, management and maintenance of the site.
Any data collected is used for Study Alabama business purposes and to facilitate and service needs of those using our site, including, but not limited to, site functionality, enhancing and customizing the site and user experience, enhancing or maintaining site security, and as necessary (as determined by the SA Governing Board) to comply with applicable laws and assist with law enforcement or assist in any legal investigation(s).
How long we retain your data
If you use a form on the site such information is kept for an indeterminate time period so we can follow-up on such requests.
For members of Study Alabama that register with our website, we also store the minimal personal information to create a user profile for login in to the website. All users can see, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have completed any of our online forms, you can request that we erase any personal data that we may hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Data from forms may be shared with the SA Governing Board or specific member institutions based on the form data/information shared. As noted above Google Analytics collects data from our web visitors to better understand the traffic on our website.
