The most important step in applying for admission to a university or college in Alabama will be contacting the international admissions officer(s) at your chosen institution. This person will outline all that you will need for admission. Be aware that each institution may have slightly different requirements for everything from documentation to academic requirements, therefore it is important to speak with your preferred institution contact point to find out what these requirements are.

Here is a very brief checklist of what you will need:

01. High School Transcript

An original transcript of your high school diploma (officially translated and certified in English). Note that this must show ALL the classes you took and the grade you received for each class.

02. Submit The Application Form

Submit all required documents. The application must be filled out in English.

03. Test Scores Verification

Verification of test scores you may need for the university or college you have chosen. For example: English Language Proficiency test such as Toefl, IELTS, or others (see institutions for specific details).

04. Scholarship/Other Funding

If you are eligible for a scholarship or other funding from the university or college you may be required to show proof of other tests such as the SAT or ACT or other (check with the institution you are applying to).
